I've always cherished hearing about how God worked in the "good old days." Those stories are not only fitting but essential. Undoubtedly, God has moved powerfully in the past. Today, we reap the benefits of the faith-filled steps others took to build the facilities we now enjoy. We've been inspired by countless tales of faith in action.

I've often expressed my hope that my generation won't just hear these stories but will create new ones of God's provision, guidance, and sustaining power.

Recently, our church, Lighthouse Baptist, hosted a "brag on Jesus" service, perhaps the most heartwarming testimony gathering I've ever been part of. We were uplifted as we heard stories of God's provision, guidance, and transformative power.

Though some couldn't attend due to other commitments, they reached out afterward to share their testimonies.

I must share one such touching testimony with you. During the morning service, I noticed a former teen from thirty years ago seated in the second row. She had a challenging upbringing, riding on Ken Whitacre’s bus route. As she embraced me, she whispered, "You were like a mom to me, thank you." It reminded me of my mother's words—that how we treat children will shape their memories as adults.

She had brought her 13-year-old granddaughter from Delaware, hoping to guide her onto the right path. Your message on sin's consequences and enslavement couldn't have been more timely for this young teen. It's clear that God's hand was guiding our words and actions that day.

What an incredible story! Whether we realize it or not, we are witnessing something special as God works among us. I believe this is just the beginning. Let's maintain our anticipation and faith in God's promises. He is who He says He is, and He will do what He says He will do. Let's continue to trust God to be God!

This is so encouraging, when you get to see the actual harvest. Jeremiah had a challenging ministry in his day. Pray we are not in that season.
